The art director for In Utero was Robert Fisher, who experienced developed all of Nirvana's releases on DGC. Most of the Strategies for the artwork for your album and associated singles came from Cobain. Fisher recalled that "[Cobain] would just give me some loose odds and ends and say 'Do a little something with it.'"[70] The quilt in the album is
